The PC350 is more for competitive play, focusing on speech clarity and voice recognition (read: cold, harsh audio signature) while the MMX300 is the overall better headphone (read: natural, full sound). The MMX300 mic is slightly more noisy than the PC350 mic, but not very noticeable during play. I own both the PC350 and MMX300. The headsets were auditioned using an ASUS Xonar D2X sound card and the Beyerdynamic USB sound card. First, it completely blocks out noise around you so you can hear clearly the other person. Doesn’t matter if the guy next to you wants to run a chainsaw, you can’t hear it. Second, it is comfortable. No ear pressure, super comfortable. Third, the sound is great.. The microphone is so-so quality, but very decent. I think the microphone doesn’t capture a full range of sound quite as good as some of my other headsets, but then again I am talking on the phone and not performing arts. The price is a little heavy, but the quality is there. I originally had a SteelSeries, which cost $100 and had a one year warranty. I bought 2 overall, the first one died shortly after the warranty was up, the second one died shortly after the warranty was up, so I went and bought this, $300 for 5 year warranty is better mathematically speaking. When I got the headset I immediately saw a difference in sound quality. The fit was a bit tighter on the head than my original one, but it breaks in and you get used to it. The problem I had with this headset was the very next day of me owning it, the right ear cup was dead, I knew this was just a defect, so I quickly rma’d, and shipped it back; I was furious because of this, but I checked my email; Amazon had already placed an order for a replacement and made it one day shipping. That alone made my day, sure I had to go another day without a headset, but I get a replacement so quickly. This one has not broken yet, it still works great, comfy, fits over your ears, the mic is sensitive so you might have to lower the input volume so you don’t blow up any ear drums if you game with friends.
