Music Posters | Choosing A Music Poster For Your Room
Putting posters and framed prints on your walls is a great way of brightening up a dull room, but how do you know which one to get? There are so many sizes available featuring different styles of artwork.

1. What size should I get?
First you need to consider how much space you have available to you and then assess how a poster may look in your room. If you have plenty of space, the standard poster size is 71cm x 28cm and this can be position portrait or landscape orientation (depending on the image).
If you lack space you could go for a smaller, framed photograph – maybe buying two or three and positioning them in a more interesting fashion. This won’t take up much space but it will allow you to get creative!
2. Should I buy colour or black and white?
This is a tough one but here is my top tip – if you live in a minimalist environment you should go for black and white. Why? Because colour looks busy, and if your living space is calm and minimal, greyscale or black and white complements this better.
If however you have lots of things in your room(s), consider a full colour poster to really add the vibrancy and complement everything else in the room.
3. Choosing orientation
Portrait images are tall and landscape images are wide. Which one you choose is down to personal preference but remember than portrait images tend to suit figures best where landscape images suit scenery best. Again personal preference will guide you toward which poster you want to buy.
4. Where to buy
Most music stores have posters of the latest bands and music artists as well as cult movies and other pop culture things. You can also shop online for music posters from stores like Amazon and Play.com which have enormous ranges of posters.
5. How much to spend?
Posters at a standard A3 size cost around 4 and arrive rolled up in a tube for postal safety. Framed pictures cost substantially more due to their framing costs and autographed images can cost much more (but then this depends if it is an original signed piece or a photocopy).
